The withdrawal is unbearable.

I recommend the following two-part cure:

1. Read books.

2. Learn to write in cursive.

The truth is that drug addiction today is as high or higher than it was in the ’70s.

That’s why it’s both funny and sad to see visitors to my land out in the woods in Kentucky go frantic when they discover they are at least 20 miles from cell coverage in ANY direction.

but it’s no longer PC to call those who are addicted “addicts”.the search for a more “positive” term has begun.

Oh, no! “Persons with addictions” takes so much more effort!

An interesting side note on all this, I had a nephew ask me what a slide rule was for. Yes, I still know how to use it. Just to stay in practice in case I lose all my batteries.(:>O

simple reason: people suck.

Today’s classic “One Big Happy” strip from 2003 deals with the subject of people with their cellphone addictions.

Egad! I must reduce my time on comics and commenting on them… I must be addicted to it..!!

People need to accept that this is the way the world is now. There is nothing we can do about it so there’s no use moaning.

“Moaning” that’s another thing people seem to be addicted to!

This is why I have no smartphone, nor want one. Steer clear of addicting substances or objects, kiddos!

To be fair, most people are terrible, so it’s pretty great to not have to interact with them.

Scary fact: In 2016, there were about 35,000 deaths do to car accidents, and about 55,000 do to drug overdoses. That’s right, drugs have beaten the automobile

Electronics are the new drugs! (at least that’s why my parents think)

Ironic that this is on a website only accessible by technology.

At least they aren’t reading comic online like the scum out there
