My ice teas don’t work until I add rum and vodka.

He just might do it if he has the patience for about half of that ice to melt into tea making water.

So what’s next? Ice coffee? (Not that I’ve never drank ice tea before)

Wait… I don’t remember THIS one! I know I’ve read the comics a lot. Weird that I don’t recall this.

I just found out you can put teabags in water in the fridge overnight or for several hours, and get iced tea without faffing around boiling water and then cooling it. Nice to make the night before a picnic, trip etc. and in the morning jut pour it in your thermos and go. Another advantage is, the flavour is much smoother. You can add sugar to the jar when you put the tea in.

@laughingkitty plus I can’t reply to your comment, with which I fully agree in both sentiment and tone. Same affliction also affects reading other replies as well

Wasn’t a total failure if he takes away the thought that there may be more he needs to learn about making iced tea. Or that not every effort ends in success. Or that Mom can do great things with ice and a tea bag.

Fun fact: This strip was supposed to be in the book Something Under the Bed is Drooling, but it was never included.

YLESS all I have in my address bar is calvinandhobbes and no question mark. I wish they’d fix this idiot new system and put it back to how it was. Why are they always “fixing” what ain’t broken and their “fix” does break it!?

The problem with complaining is that having caused the problem, those most qualified to fix it are also least likely to listen.

Jeez, his mom still has those kind of ice trays? Those are ancient! And Calvin, the best way to make iced tea is to do sun tea! The heat from the sun will brew your tea and then you just pour it over ice!

@bookworm0812: that would require patience. I’m guessing Calvin would not be ‘first in class’ for that.

I like to think I make a pretty good cup of tea.

But it’s coffee I probably make badly. I hate making coffee. Sometimes I have to when we get visitors at work. I am perfectly happy to make tea for them but not so enthusiastic when they want coffee. Anyway, I think I’ve made my point.

No, you put the bag in before the ice then wait a couple of days.
