LOL i love this one… it also makes me think that my dad must be part cat. i’ve been using a computer for more years than i want to admit, he’s a late bloomer with them and still manages to bring up screens that have me going “WHAT? HOW?”

My little female cat manages to turn down the brightness of the screen when she steps on the keyboard. How she manages to step on the exact key, a very tiny one at the top, every single time, is one of life’s mysteries.

One time, Teresa managed to cause my screen to rotate 180 degrees. It was quite fun trying to find out how to correct it.

Took my computer in for some work. Service man said only thing wrong with it was that it was full of cat hair. No surprise there as someone always want to sleep on it when I am trying to make a deadline.

My Yum Yum manages to lock the cursor on me quite frequently. I know now that the fix is Fn and F3 pressed simultaneously. She gets quite a kick out of my frustration.

Be sure to read Nancy today! It is all about Flash the cat! If you missed his appearance back before Christmas go back and read the whole story line. Great cat story.

Back in the neolithic, when we did our computing in primordial darkness, there was a program called “Cat-like Typing.” If a certain number of random keys were pressed, it locked the keyboard and put up a message: “Cat-like typing detected.” It was a great protection from cats and preliterate children. Fortunately, “Silent Miaow” was produced on a typewriter, long before. (The book was ghost written by Paul Gallico for a cat who wished to remain anonymous.)

Had this same problem with our first cat Charlie 18 years ago when I less experienced, & using Windows 95. Then Charlie would also lie on top of TV style Monitor furnace.

Elvis shall NOT be ignored—sitting on the Woman’s laptop is a gesture that the glowing warm box with buttons on the bottom shall not play first fiddle. lol That, and it’s roasty toasty on his toesies. :D

Thank GOODNESS Jingle Bell Katt has never shown a desire to sit or step on the keyboard. She just walks by on the desk to her favorite windowsill…and now she has jumped on top of the bookshelf to nap in her favorite Amazon box…

20 year old kitty; for the first time EVER decided to sleep on my PC’s keyboard. She had the thing TALKING, and I don’t know the command for that.

Coincidentally, I needed the machine to look up some sudden on-set medical symptoms. It seems I had woken up to a bout of Bell’s Palsy.

There’s a story of someone who nipped out, and returned to find that his cat had used the webcam to take a photo of his a***hole and set it as wallpaper.

Meanwhile, I have a wireless keyboard which is particularly useful as a remote when watching TV on the laptop in bed. Only Her Ladyship, as well as spending up to ten minutes standing on me, blocking the screen while she decides whether to lie down, has also been known to stroll across the wireless keyboard, changing the screen ratio in various exciting ways and then slowing down the speed with a tap of her dainty paw as she steps off it.

I used to let my gecko out of his tank when I was on the zoom meeting… he loved, and I mean loved, to turn off the meeting. He lived for that. The little rascal knew what he was up to. I love that little jerk.
