My son has two daughters, 5 years and 3 months. I think he’s already dreading the day.

My stepson plans on sitting outside the front door cleaning a shotgun. But I also like Bill Engvall’s approach: Get the boy staring into your eyes and tell him, “You see that little girl there? That’s my whole world. So before you even think of doing the least thing to her, you gotta know I have absolutely no problem going back to prison!”

I love Phil for this! These are HIS daughters.

It could be worse. One of my wife’s high school ROTC instructors would interview his daughter’s dates in his home office surrounded by his shooting trophies. It so happened that was also the night he cleaned his rifles.
