Irony would be if they fell over the side, but remained in the tank, floating away.

Alexikakos is harmless…it’s just recipes. If you’re hungry, you read it…if not, you don’t. Problem fixed.

Mr. Hilburn, lobsters don’t swim, and they live at the bottom of shallow water. They would not survive at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

@JAM. Poetic license. Lobsters don’t have little balloons over their “heads” with writing either.

Even if the boat sank in shallow water off of Maine, and the lobsters were still green (uncooked), they still wouldn’t survive given that they typically have rubber bands on their claws once they are in captivity.

They knew of the dangers in those waters, but didn’t slow down or have sufficient watches to avoid collision. Also the separate bulkheads were not complete and in a fit not just of stupidity but cupidity, they had too few life boats. The problem of believing your own advertisement and puffed up hubris.

considering how many lives were lost on the RMS Titanic, including children, I do not and will never find jokes and cartoons about the disaster funny

As for the lobsters, it’s good not to get too literal with jokes. Just accept the basic joke that what’s bad for humans is good for the lobsters and don’t go into the practical details.
