I’m curious as to who people think will be running for office; The Virgin Mary and Mahatma Gahdhi? Are not the politicians who run for office but a mirror image of the populace, of the voters, or did they land here from outer space? Would an educated, enlightened population even considered for a second someone who said: “we is not educating our children well enough,” or “most of our imports are coming from outside the country?” Is not Trump a perfect representative of the bigotry, fear, and narrow mindedness that has always run through segments of our population, or have you forgotten Jim Crow, separate water fountains and bathrooms, and Jackie Robinson being spit on?

None of the other (former) candidates were any more appealing than these two. Some were worse, much worse!

Grrr! Most Americans are disappointed by the candidates, yet they don’t study the issues, don’t protest the closed primaries, don’t register for the “other” party to moderate the outcome, and reelect incompetent representatives again and again.

I wish it was Mitt Romney and Joe Biden.

Ironic that a beer owned by Belgium and Brazil is renaming itself “America”.

American beer is as tasteless as American politics.

The country may have been built on optimism but it is sinking into pessimism, in large part due to having to choose between the lesser of two evils for President.

Interesting… I usually see cartoons here first before they show in my local paper but this one was in yesterday’s morning paper. Hmm.

Per the CDC, in 2012, the rate of legal abortions to total pregnancies was ~ 17%.This is, of course, much lower than 1/3 (33%). Furthermore, the rate is dropping.

Most Americans can’t tell you where their county seat is located. Or even what “county seat” MEANS.-Sad but true.
