I’m in my 50s, and if someone wants to refer to me as a girl I’m fine with it. We still refer to “the boys” and “the girls” in my family. Having someone refer me to as a girl makes me feel 30 years younger. And that’s not a problem as far as I’m concerned.

I’m 73 and I still get a kick out of it when some of my church members in their 80s and 90s call me “young lady”.

I often lied about my age as a kid. I always wanted to be older than than my real age. Now that I’ve survived past 70, you’d think that I’d be moving my age backwards. Truth is, I am proud of my years, the grey/white hair and beard, the happy lines around my eyes, and my ample girth.Age is simply Mind of Matter. If you don’t mind, it don’t matter !

Teens having cars wasn’t as common in NY, due to the rust issues. I’d assume it’s the same in Canada. In the South, since even 70s cars could go over a decade without significant rot, cheap beaters were plentiful.

rekamHadn’t looked at it that way. I thought my poor walking ability was due to the fool who broadsided me at 50+, through a red light, since I had the problem since then and not just since 80.
