There are so many more ways not to get pregnant than were available when I was young, and you know you’re pregnant practically when you finish having sex with tests now a days so you don’t have to wait to abort the baby when it’s ready to be born. I went to grad school with a woman who was very religious and she and her husband were both working on PhDs. For health reasons she couldn’t take the pill. She used a diaphram and rhythm, and during her fertile periods in addition to the diaphram he used a condom. Guess what? They never had to deal with an unwanted pregnancy, and after they finished their degrees they had two planned, wanted children. It is possible to be responsible.
