I’m glad to see I’m not the only one that misses Bob! Today’s generations have no idea what a great person he was.
There was literally nowhere he wouldn’t go if American troops were there. Sadly missed.
Just wondering how many folks reading this today have no idea who he is referring to…
He was awarded with the Congressional Gold Medal in 1962. One of the highest awards bestowed to a civilian.

I remember Bob Hope giving a USO show in Nam. He said, “Ok boys, this is what you are fighting for”. And the Raquel Welsh came out onto the stage with a bikini on. I don’t think I have ever seen a woman more beautiful than her at that moment.
Why? Because he didn’t use foul language to get a laugh. Grow up. Jokes are not all about body functions and smells.
Ol’ Ski Nose entertained three generations of my family, and we were glad for the shows.
