The problem is that about 80% of Academy Award decisions are made through behind-the-scenes social politics that nobody watching at home ever gets to see.
It’s California State Law that Meryl Streep has to be nominated for any movie she’s in…the Oscars said so! LOL (Personally, I find her overrated…I prefer Glenn Close and Kate Winslet.)
At least the boy realized at a very young age that commercial entertainment is shallow, hollow, money-based, and unsuitable as a source of either truth or advice. That’s priceless insight.
