Grenada? Panama? Kuwait? Iraq? Afghanistan? They’re coming faster with less “peace” between them.Or are we talking about any wars anywhere in the world. Wouldn’t know where to begin with that one.

Don’t worry Charlie Brown. The next issue will go back to what was at the time called the Great War and feature the beginning of the adventures of the famous World War I flying ace in his Sopwith Camel and his now legendary dogfights with the infamous Red Baron in the skies over France and Belgium.

So movies and cartoons weren’t enough? Did they had to make comics about war back then too?

3 May 1954. 4 days later, Ho Chi Minh’s forces defeat the French, ending the Indochina War. 2 months later, world powers agree to a divided Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh’s Communists control the North. LBJ put us in the thick of it 11 years later.

The war without end – Gasp! The Afghanistan/Iraq war. Trillions of dollars and thousands of lives lost or maimed. It’s a horror comic book series!

OUr country is geared for perpetual war since 1950 onwards. Larger and larger our military machine but it is so ill used it loses more than wins at any battle.
