Beni: Isn't Oomaboogy Wow Wow kind of a silly song for your brother to sing at school? Alice: Really. Alice: I don't watch that show anymore. It's got too many valuable life lessons. Beni: Ick.

The after school specials were never subtle. And how about the “cartoon” in Highlights for Children magazine? Goofus and Gallant. WOW! Looking back, I wonder why I didn’t try harder to get sent to Reform School.
