SOUNDED a little outside? What the pluperfect hell? Does the atmosphere outside the strike zone come with a differing air pressure?.Man, if MUT doesn’t feature a motorcycle going over a shark for THIS one, there is no God.

Wade “Mouth” Mason jars them with the speed of his pitches and has the Mudlarks in a jam. But can he seal the deal? There’s probably more scouts in the crowd but Kaz can only count to six. #meathead

Sounded outside? WTF are these guys playing, Beep Ball?

Nice jagged scars on the faces of Gil and Kaz Elvis in P1.

Guys, seriously? That’s longstanding tongue-in-cheek code for “that sumbeech is FAST”

Never been good at catching sarcasm, but agree with Pappaw57. Point is ‘The d**n pitch was so fast I couldn’t see it, but it sounded…’

In all reality , doesn’t the ump wait until the pitch is in the catcher’s mit before calling a ball or a strike ? With scouts in the stands , True takes thhe mound and tries to bring heat, blowing his arm out. Time for Summer.

In all reality, Mr and Mrs Reality will be on a bucket list trip touring the British Isles for the next 2 weeks .Stay safe .

I believe the quote “it sounded a bit outside” was once said about Satchel Paige after striking out a batter on 3 straight….

Thanks to Jimmy Jarbo’s dad, the owner of Speedco, tonight is Coach Thorp State Champ free mask night at venerable Milford Park. Buy a ticket and you can look 40 years younger wearing your Gil Pa mask.

Hey, that batter’s stance is exactly like mine! Only I was a soccer player.

No wonder they couldn’t see it; everything’s in the shadows in P2. Looks like the Fist Pump Man Family Reunion softball game. But seriously, I agree with Pappaw that the “sounded a little outside” comment was meant to emphasize the speed of the pitch.

The scouts are there to see Mason but will end up impressed with True.

The dozen scouts are, most likely, the reason why Gil showed up to this game. It’s a chance for Gil to speak about his state championships to others, and possibly get picked up by a college team.

This one has it all…Kabuki theater in P1, a night game in P2, back to a day game in P3…a field day for MUT.

When I first read P1 I thought the scouts were there to watch Milford and Gil was hoping his team would disappoint the scouts, which seemed odd, even for Gil. And speaking of odd, check out today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Yes Gil, let’s disappoint the scouts. What coach wants his players to make it in the bigs? Oh, by the way, the amateur draft doesn’t let the scouts steal high-schoolers. Sure wouldn’t want to lose a juggler or a ball swatter to Cleveland.

P-1 those aren’t masks! Those are Heidelberg fencing scars, very big in the Nineteenth Century (Macho, Macho Men)
