The 5 of mine try to escape occasionally. Miscreant tries almost daily. During the summer I take 1 kitty at a time with me into my fenced in garden to help weed and catch bugs. Sometimes they even get a mole or vole. This way they get a little supervised outside time, get to eat grass and are too busy checking out the garden to realize they could actually jump the garden fence. We all win.

The extension cord for the coffee maker is brilliant, and you even made it orange heavy gauge since we all know you aren’t supposed to run one off an extension. It’s these little extra details, like the perspective in panel 12, that cement you as a brilliant artist and comic creator (stripper just doesn’t sound right, lol.) :)

Tommy is certainly well dressed for the weather if he is a missing cat-a well prepared missing cat. There is more to Tommy than meets the eye at first.

Lupin worried is even cuter than Lupin usually is. Tommy worried is as cute as can be. And Elvis “JUST FINE” is absolutely exquisite. The art, the details, the story line — you have SURPASSED yourself in this one, Georgia.

Many years ago we rented a tiny farm house in an area where the farms were being developed. The house sat back from the still-country road a bit, but we had a good long view of it. Stray dogs occasionally visited and were escorted home. One day a rough collie came trotting along and did not look happy, but very distressed. I called to him and tried to approach him but he was way too skittish. So I sent our dog (a rescue) out to the road to meet him and see if he could talk him into coming to the house, or at least let me approach. Son of a gun if it didn’t work! They communed at the roadside for a minute or two then they started up to the house. I approached the collie who now apparently saw me as an ally, and, long story short, his owners gratefully came and got him and our dog, whose appropriate name was Miles from Nowhere, was a hero.

I’m really loving Christmas in July.

I read the whole arc a month or so ago when I was having a really bad day and needed a pick-me-up. It was a wonderful story then and just as good the second time around. I really enjoy reading everyone’s comments and cat (and dog) stories.

Since Tommy’s a hugger, maybe he can provide some warmth!

I like the descriptions of Mr. Neighbor Cat. He sounds just like our cat.

“Lupin is brave, curious, and adventurous. …Sometimes to a fault.” — this would be one of those faults, I guess.

It’s so traumatic when they go missing. We had a cat, Booner, who was missing for 2 weeks in a winter storm. When he showed back up he kept us up almost all night talking to us.I swear that he used several dialects of CAT to tell the story. What we pieced together was he must have gotten closed up in a nearby shed. No doubt licked ice off the window to keep hydrated until the door was opend again.Similar story with a ferret. He got out one summer night and 2 nights later we had a big thunderstorm. I ran out to roll up the car windows and when I went back inside he scurried in like a flash. We were so relieved! Both times!
