There must have been a time, in Northern Virginia, when choices for road names were restricted. Any name could be chosen, as long as it included one of the following somewhere within its name: Lee, Glebe or Ox.

The youngster looks like a more normal version of Dill. So, is this what Dill’s mom and dad would look like? For your next stop, how about getting lost in Rock Creek Park?

Exactly what I was thinking, Sisyphos. Precursor of Dill.

This “origin of Glebe Road” strip has always been my favorite. It was the first street we got onto, and couldn’t figure out where we were going, back in the mid-1960s. Ever since then, it’s seemed that you wind up back on Glebe no matter which direction you head. A map of Glebe Road would serve as a pattern for an Escher print.

I was lost on that road for 22 and a half years, and then I left home
