That’s where my train of thought went, too; Lenny Bruce. Then, I thought of ELO and “Don’t bring me down…. Brrruce!” That’s where my train of thought got derailed. Turns out, they weren’t saying “Bruce” after all, but rather, “Grroosss!” Sheesh! All these years! My husband claims he never thought it was Bruce, but just some sort of exclamation. I don’t happen to believe him, but since we failed to have this important conversation before now, I can prove nothing.
