Wonder if Greg will be mad if they take his favorite booth, after all that time he took to “tag” it? – LOL, And even when you’re dating as married folk, it can be between the 5th and 6th panels. Usually, you lean as faaaar as you can towards the 5th, in order to have an excuse to “get out of the house” for a while…or at least to use the occaision to try to remember how it once felt, in panel one… – Also known as “the wanting salad”….since you have no “lettuce”, “bread” or “greens” ($)… – …although there’s probably plenty of “brownies” (pennies) laying about….

If we are to believe today’s lesson in dating and dining, standards on the dining side soon start to sag, along with everything else, as time goes by….

Close to d., minus the “old married”. The point where you’re so comfortable together that the fine detail is nice but rarely actually matters. At that point you’re no longer dating, you’re a couple.

Some days, it’s “Chez Fancy Pants”. Some days, it’s “Casa Del Grub”. Some days, it’s “The Backyard Bistro”. But no matter which day, it’s the couple enjoying themselves that counts…

A thought:I just had a thought that if Luann and Quill were at his place, they would be rifling through Mrs. B’s fridge, and Gunthie might be there. Wait…Mrs. B would be hovering round and insist on preparing a home cooked meal for them, and chatting their ears off, God love her!Or…Would she be out with Mr. Gray? Would Gunther be hanging out with Tiff? Would…Oh, the possibilities!!

I love that one, too! Not many can tell a story in song form like he can!!!!!– Even though the one I linked (from Dan/Coley) just happens to share the same title as that one, I like the fact that the two different couples in both songs are taking the time to "keep the fires burning’…such a challenge in this world of today!

I was doing “double duty” at the time, and for some reason my brain “doubled up” on the “head count” when I was thinking about Grover Washington, plus a few other music celebrities that had recently passed (not to mention from the other fields)….

You had it alright, the first time, with your first one!! Was just adding that the bottom line, no matter how you choose to dine, is that it “tastes” just as great, as long as the person you “break bread with” is someone you enjoy being around, whether it’s friends, family or dating…– “Leftoverture” is a good reference!!!

I’m reminded of the female comic who went off on how absurd and out of character women were when dating; specifically, when dining out while on a date. The stereotype, says she, is that the woman pulls up with about half of her dinner still on her plate, demurely insisting, “I can’t eat another bite,” while inside she’s screaming, “What am I saying!? I can eat all of this and everything you’ve got, too, buster!!”
