Well, I’m sure not having to actually draw the strip does help with the burnout problem.

The good thing is that those two comics left while they were still artistically and culturally relevant. Others have gone on as more or less undead with the original artists long gone and the jokes are strange, out of context or just plain creepy.

When Lynn Johnston remarked to Charles Schulz on how long For Better or For Worse had been running, saying “I’m gaining on you,” he supposedly replied, “I’ll see you in the Louvre.”

Yeah, but there have been a LOT of repeats.
