This was a fun type of the gag-a-day comic strip. Schulz was still finding his way at the time—the personalities of his characters would come much later.
Interesting though that even this early in the strip Snoopy had very non-canine tendencies. I mean what self respecting dog would sell his bones? And who wrote that sign for him?
