Your saint is a little one. Rufus weighed in at 215 lbs full grown. And he wasn’t overweight, just BIG. He slept under the kitchen table, and when the doorbell rang he would carry the table halfway across the room on his back before he managed to get out from under it.

When we had our cats, we never had to spend money on balls when milk jug rings worked just as well. Of course, we had milk jug rings all over our apartment… (We DID have some “jingle balls”, usually gifts from friends).

    Duffer37 said, yesterday.

Ladies, it’s this kind of knee-jerk reaction that’s the reason you wind up alone. Not everything is about you. And the only reason ANY hetero guy agrees to go dancing is he expects to get sex afterwards… yeah, all of us. I’d rather sit through 6 hours of toddler TV than go dancing for 5 minutes. Dancing is a means to and end, not an activity on its own for most guys. Sad, but true.____________________________.Explain why my father still takes my mother out dancing, when they’ve been married for 64 years.

My cats love the eraser mice. Grey felt rectangles with catnip inside and a white cord tail. I have to keep the new ones in a heavy drawer that they cannot access from the rear if they get inside the hutch. Some days I awake up with one or two eraser mice on my chest as a thank you from Miscreant my Bengal that looks like a Siamese with stripes. Hey at least it isn’t real mice.

@Duffer37Re yesterday: You know, bud, I’m on my 3rd long-term relationship and I’ve stepped on many a poor guy’s toes, and none of them expected sex in return for a dance. Then again, I’m fussy about who I dance with.

I rotate toys out of a bag of catnip for my cat. I’ll pick up the toys I can find and pull a few out throw them on the floor and wahla happy cat.

@Duffer37:“Dancing is a means to and end, not an activity on its own”.I agree with you about that – as far as it goes. But i disagree about what you think that “end” always is. Dancing builds strength, agility, flexibility – and if you keep at it enough, endurance. .And (IMAO, of course) it’s a lot more fun than lifting weights.

You just reminded me of hubby’s cousin and her dog and cat. The dog chased the cat up the stairs and the cat chased the dog down the stairs.

Years ago, our cats used to enjoy paper grocery bags — but only if it was their idea.

If the ball jingles, then one of my aunt’s cats will scramble after it when we roll it across the floor, and it’s funny to watch.

I have a whole bunch of ping-pong balls (colored ones, not plain) all over my floors. My cats love ‘em. They’ll pounce after them if I toss them, and they play with them when I’m not at home. I find them in the oddest spots.
