I had a speech at my first grade Thanksgiving play. I just stood there! Actually I was mad, I wanted to be an Indian and wear a dress made from a burlap sack with bottle caps sewed on.

So, Beni has a little stage fright. Being the first person on can be a bit intimidating, but luckily Miss Bliss is throwing him his lines and he’s covering well! Video on, Mr Otterloop; and stifle it, Madeline!

I just love stories with fairies in them.

I’m such a sucker for these little kids plays. There’s the ones with stage-fright and the ones that practically take over the whole show. It’s all good, though. Great memories.

I’m with you, Perkycat. Those plays are the best.
We had a K5 nativity at church yesterday. It was great — lots of kids waving at parents and such.

I was a giraffe in a first-grade play. I had a ridiculous outfit on with matching ridiculous make-up. All I did walk through a hoop. I was a…something in a second-grade play of Cinderella. I think I was a “helper” or something.

I hope Beni doesn’t “go” on stage!

My thought on seeing Beni was not stage fright. It was deer-in-the-headlights frozen. OMG! There they all are! And totally forgot what he was supposed to do or say. So cute.

The first stage production I was ever in, not sure what grade, the teachers spent a lot of time telling us to SPEAK LOUDLY so that everyone in our audience would be able to hear us. This was somewhere between 1-4 grade. Apparently I took these near constant admonitions very much to heart. After the performance I asked my parents if they could hear me. They assured me that EVERYONE could hear me. They may have added something about the dead.
