Brittle bones must run in that family. I can think of at least twice that I should have broken bones, but thankfully mine flexed way over, and back. I did lose three teeth playing hockey in college.
This is how people used to “date” events. When asked what year something happened, instead of answering with a number, people would say something like “that was in the year of the great earthquake” or “the second year of the king’s reign”. It still happens, though it is very rare. In Iceland, the winter of 1917-1918 is called “the winter of the great frost”. The temperature went down to -38 C / -36.4 F in January, which is the coldest temperature ever recorded in Iceland.
As far as I know, verbal communication came before symbolic communication, so the hunters would have had to know how to talk if they could make a diagram.
