I don’t mind summer so much as the endless, six-month long winter here in Chicagoland (most of November through to early May). I’ve done real summer in Mediterranean lands, where it can get very hot….

Here on the Texas gulf coast we have nine months of summer, two weeks of spring, two weeks of fall and two months of winter (a mild winter).

We had 43 degrees yesterday morning in Wisconsin. What is this “summer” you speak of?

Any weather change (hotter or colder) than the day before has been interpreted as ‘Climate Change’. In the old days (1 to 100 centuries ago), before the GW’s, we used to say to each other- “If you don’t like the current weather, wait 24 hours and it will change”.

I mean we all know that the oil company funding of all the anti-global warming pundits is entirely coincidence.

Summer is not global warming! Summer is “Seasonal hemispherical temperate warming” or Shetwa!

I’m 51 now. When I lived in Wisconsin in the 70’s all the scientists were claiming that because we had some cold winters we were heading towards an ice age and they needed money to figure out how to combat it. Now we had the opposite for a while and now they’re claiming that they need money to combat the warm weather. What’s the difference?

I’ve been in both situations. I’ll take dry heat every time if it were up to me.
