What bugs me about that is how stupid Charlie Brown is to keep trusting her. Although he did get his moment when Snoopy turned him invisible.

Just for a touch of real: When my baby brother played HS football, one of his duties was placekicker. They drilled and drilled, “Once the kicker starts moving, you go through with the kick!”
Then one time, he was in his approach when the ref blew his whistle. The twit holder pulled the ball. Ergo, the first of what ended up being many knee surgeries for little bro.

Lucy had good reason to pull those footballs away. The first time she and Charlie Brown played, his “loveable loser” persona hadn’t been established yet, and he bullied her mercilessly.
