Nicely done. Now that Obamacare has been shown to work so effectively that ads against it rely on actors instead of real people, the GOP’s only hope is to destroy it from within and pretend the failure (like everything else) is Obama’s fault.
Maybe some other economist than Paul Krugman who is little more than a shill for the Democrat party, could be asked… Or better yet, somebody who actually knows how to do research that is credible…Of course, all those people in newspaper and magazine articles were paid actors too…
Actually, Obama himself liked the term Obamacare right up until it became obvious that the ACA was a failure and that the term was becoming a pejorative as it was originally intended…
Paul Krugman is perfectly capable of doing research, and he has a huge advantage of having been proven correct time and again over the past ten years while the Wall Street Journal editorial board (which is very different from their eonomists) has almost always made predictions that have come up false.
Sorry your experience with Apple wasn’t as good as mine. I really like my iMac, my iPhone, my iPad, my iPods and my Apple TV. Maybe I didn’t listen to the hyped up ads, etc. I bought them, use them and am very happy with them. Unfortunately, I have a windows pc at work. It’s better than prior versions, but still way behind OSX 7..And, I say the PPACA is working. It has helped me. Thank you President Obama.
I know some actual people who have been effected by Obamacare. There’s my aunt. She had a rough time getting a job because she’s diabetic and potential employers didn’t want to deal with the insurance issues involved. Now she has her own insurance and a new job. Then there’s my niece, who can stay on her parent’s plan until she’s 26. Until Obamacare, she didn’t have insurance. Personally, Obamacare is closing the donut hole on my Medicare, which means it will pay for a lot of medication that would have been my problem before Obamacare. And, there’s my brother who was staying on a job he only needed for the insurance because his wife has chronic respiratory problems and if she had gotten really bad it would have wiped out their savings. Now he has Obamacare and he’s retired. Another person who has benefited is the lady who took the job he no longer needed. I don’t personally know of anyone who has had a problem with Obamacare, and those who are featured on TV so far have turned out to either being lying or too stupid to actually check out how it works. So, if you folks who are screaming about how bad Obamacare is have some actual cases of people who have been harmed and offset all of these benefits, put up or shut up.
Or you could check out Obamacare, stop avoiding the doctor, and see if the new system is better. It probably is, and it doesn’t sound like you have a lot to lose if your wife’s plan is minimal.
I seem to recall that Slate found someone who actually had a problem with ACA implementation, but it is odd that the GOP has relied entirely on fakes. I am skeptical that something has been this universally helpful UNLESS the state of US healthcare is even worse than I thought. Which, actually, could be true.
I suspect that if someone on the Right came up with any sort of halfway sensible alternative to the ACA, it would be opposed by at least half of the GOP, because it would involve something other than tax cuts on the wealthy. Also, it could be taken as a victory for Democrats if there is one in the Oval Office to sign it into law.
We can expect to keep hearing the same three cracked records (see above), based on half-truths and misrepresentations, and maybe a brand-new picture of Obama in a clown suit for the opposition party’s top intellectuals.
All these people screaming about the “success” of the ACA seems at best; suspicious..Logically if it’s such a great thing, then postponing it will only hurt Democrats and strategically it would be at best moronic..Locally Alex Sink lost the election despite outspending her Republican opponent 3 to 1. George Soros (the left’s version of the Koch Brothers) spent millions of his own money to defeat Alan West..The only way any of this makes sense is if the ACA is bad for America. No matter how much perfume you spray on a pile of manure, it’s still manure.
I’m not for or against ACA, other than that it there could have been a better system. In any case, I have talked to a few people who have been hurt by ACA, so it isn’t just a bunch of actors or liars. Harry Reid has consistently called folks liars and in his position that’s deplorable.

With an emphasis on repeal, and a strong demphasis on replace.

Obamacare is a huge success for Americans, just not for Republicans. Try to keep your nationality straight.

Amidst your hollow cries of failure, I have yet to hear one idea for replacement.
