The man expressed his opinion, which happens to agree with the Bible. I’m an agnostic who could care less who marries who and I’ve never watched duck dynasty, but give the guy a break.

They’ll support ‘free speech’ they agree with. Not so much when it’s Martin Bashir or the Dixie Chicks. So much for principle.

You know what I think is a sin? Big ugly beards. I hate them. Yuck. Disgusting. I don’t hate the people who have them, though of course I firmly believe they will go to hell, but hey, that’s not hate, that’s just my religious belief about beards. If God wanted people to have big ugly beards he would have made everyone, including women and babies, with big ugly beards. It’s a choice. You don’t have to have a big ugly beard. Big ugly beards can be cured. I mean, goats have big ugly beards, so having them is kind of animal, if you know what I mean.

Fantastic Duck Dynasty PR stunt. In a couple of days I suspect that whats his name will issue an apology and get more free PR.

What if the “progressives” (as if progress itself were an evil thing!) were to then say the same about you in return. Wouldn’t that be just as true?

He’s perfectly entitled to his uninformed opinion; but he is not entitled to be broadcast and get publicized and make money for it.

He never said that gays are evil, he stated that homosexuality is a sin, as per his beliefs in the Bible.

The comment was not made on A&E, so they have no right to fire him unless there was something in his contract about it. Period.

I’m just sitting here in my PJs, drinking a cup of hot chocolate and no one will talk to me about Obamacare. Period.

People enjoy watching these people because they are ignorant hicks, and they like to feel superior to them. So, what part of ignorant hicks didn’t they understand? At any rate, freedom of speech guarantees that anyone can say any stupid offensive thing they want to say. It does not guarantee that the people who are paying you to show off your ignorance on TV so people will enjoy watching you are going to continue to pay you when people no longer consider your ignorance cute.

You say that Christians don’t hate the sinner, they just hate the sin. Tell that to Matthew Shepard.

Actually, liberals are not the one attacking freedom of religion. That would be the Christian Right, who are attempting to force their religion down the throats of others via legislation. Liberals believe that everyone should have the right to worship in the manner that they see fit or not to worship at all, as long as it harms none. We are only asking for freedom from your religion, we are not trying to legislate our beliefs onto others.

As for hate-filled speech, I believe it was Rush Limbaugh, the Voice of Conservatism, that called Pope Francis a Communist and worse. Westboro Baptist Church pickets the funerals of fallen soldiers proclaiming that “God Hates Fags”. Is this not hate? Good Christian politicians say under privileged children should work for their school lunch and their base cheer at the thought of the homeless dying in the streets. Is this the Christian way? Please, tend to your own garden before you tell me how to tend mine.

Luckovich will think differently about free speech when folks who disagree with him use the legal system to persecute him.

I was amazed when I learned that many animals in the world are homosexual. Maybe it’s more normal than we think. And what the h-e-double hocky- sticksdoes it matter anyway? Procreating too much is what got the world into the fix it’s in now.Instead of everybody telling everybody what they should or not do, and everybody telling everybody what to think and believe, how about we all just ‘live and let live?’
