    Two comments;1) Went to the California DMV to renew my drivers license, Only one problem i couldn’t find anyone who spoke English to help me.

    2) Moving out of California next week, for a better paying job.

    As a jeweler, and a jewelery insider for 30+ years I can assure you that it isn’t small portable consumer electronics which put the watch repair shop out of business. It was the lack of trained professionals to actually do the repairs. As for cell phones taking the place of the wrist watch, at best a cell phone is a multi function pocket watch, and a wrist watch is far more convenient to use than a pocket watch.

    Atlantic City did quite well with legalizing the “vice” of gambling until others did so as well, thus increasing compilation. However there are other “vices” which AC could also legalize and tax, marijuana and prostitution come to mind. However as other states see there success they are also likely to follow suite and increase competition. My suggestion would be to make both legal, regulated and TAXED both……..

    It should be a simple task to redraw congressional districts by computer program using only census data and an algorithm which seeks a minimum perimeter, and equal population. No other data need be included.

    IF the Arab world spent as much on Science Technology mathematics engineering and technology as the Caliphate did (as a portion of there income) they would not be a fourth world backwater.
