This family is soooo cute. You gotta love them. :-)

Andy, Alix and Holly made me smile. But my all time question is WHY doesn’t Phil and Val get engaged? I love this strip, but sometimes get so bored with the material. Yes, yes I know Jan Eliot won’t age the characters, but if she is reading…..please move them along. What material you would have to work with if Max talked, Holly goes to high school and Val gets engaged AND married.

Looks like Gramma fell asleep on the couch but will soon be wide awake.

When I was a little kid my sister and my Mom and me would go outside and bang on pots and pans to wecome in the New Year. That was a long time ago.

I remember one new year about 55 years ago, my grandpa went out on the porch and shot his shotgun into the air……then the phone went dead.

She moved the strip along when there was a pregnancy. Now it is time for it to advance again. Happy and safe 2014 to all.

I wonder if I will be as Evie fall asleep by 11pm central time. The nephew is having a wonderful time dancing.So surprise Evie can sleep with girls making banging noise.

To all the New Year Eve’s babies born today last day for birthday as I, Happy Birthday to all. Everyone have a safe New Years Eve tonight. We do not drink staying home watching ABC Rockin Eve from New York. I’m on Central time so hope to stay away by 11pm then bed time.

When I was little like Max, I used to fall asleep before midnight, but not anymore. Happy New Year everyone!

I especially enjoy Eliot’s large panels for holidays. This time Holly looks shorter as if she’s a child drumming with abandon, rather than a teenager keeping her cool.

And I just realized Alix has pan lids that I thought were rabbit ears.

Marriage if for the naming(and begetting of children) and the consolation of wealth. since they don’t want more kids and have limited wealth……

Right now I’m indulging my GoComics habit, the 16, 13, and 11-year-old are watching The Hobbit, and the others have repaired to their bedrooms. Guy Lombardo (!!) was playing when they first came to the living room, and they like to died!
