It’s no fun getting buzzed all by yourself. The more, the merrier. Good Morning to all!

“Well ya see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. So when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

The human brain works that way too. It only operates as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. So, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That’s why you always feel smarter after a few beers."—Cliff Clavin

@PerkycatThere’s another side? Today’s lame episode could make a teetotaler drink./@Number ThreeHello Kitty made a cameo appearance in today’s Zippy. (Perhaps one of you fine folk could post it for her?)

Since I retired I deal with the clock change the same way I deal with trolls: I ignore it.

Leo Buscallia wrote excellent books about children. This quote is indicative of his wisdom.

I am very sorry to hear about your Johnny. Was it sudden? No matter, the loss of a pet is the loss of self when it happens. Give your self plenty of time to grieve and heal somewhat. Be gentle with yourself.

“Governors Head States; Heads of State are Presidents. Must have been the Premier Governor, Guvna!”

The Queen is the Head of State in England (and 15 other nations in the Realm). Prime Minister is the Head of Government. The American President is both Head of State and Head of Government.

Hello everyone. We took Grandma to the surgeon yesterday. Affie, you probably have a mental image of her upcoming surgery but unless the rest of you have medical backgrounds I won’t give you the gruesome. She will have to have two lymph nodes removed from her neck. Her lower jaw will have to be removed and replaced for a couple inches to either side of the necrotic area. The replacement tissue and bone will come from her left arm. Then there will be a graft from her leg to her arm. All in all, the surgery will take all day, the 15th. She will then spend a day or two in ICU and about two weeks in the hospital. This seems to be her best chance at survival. She has since quit dipping the snuff. The family is behind her all the way and we are all praying. Y’all pray too, please.
