Clone-Moon Maid turns to Stella Luna and Retik for help? Well, inasmuch as they have been her caretakers while she has been undergoing “treatments” from S. Tim Sail and Zy Ghote, it makes a kind of sense. Even better if Luna and Retik now turn to Tracy….

I guess the big question is since we know Tracy will get involved, will she “forget” to mention where Sparkle is until she’s “discovered”?

for some reason i dont think retik and stellaluna actually LIVE at the abandoned club… for one its trespassing (unless theyve bought the rights to the property before they were introduced into the strip) but i DID notice the make believe space coupe hanging ominously in the background.

perhaps moon maid lite will hook up with retik and stellaluna and return to moon valley to “recivilise” the area.

I hope this is just a temporary power failure, and that Mysta isn’t permanently powerless!Since she’s driving, I don’t think that’s her on the phone.

I suppose I expected too much… if MM/Mysta had not lost her power, Hy Pressure would be disabled and the story would be ending sooner than anyone wants.

I don’t see any boo-hooing going on here. Looks like thinking and planning to me.

Definitely did not expect this plot twist of Mysta/MM losing her powers. Very much hoping it is temporary and they will be restored after a recharge. I concur, this storyline — while far-fetched at times — is excellent and the art and character development superb.

Without her powers, how did she restart the car? Has she had a key made?

not possible puzzlewhiz… dont you remember? EVERYONE NEEDS to see every movement made by every character otherwise its all just speculation :) lol

i just had an idea… maybe it IS moon maid lite calling retik and stellaluna on a conveinent cell/car phone that was left inside the smith industries car… she gets so disctracted whilst talking and driving, her car runs off the overpass and right onto the train tracks where the train engine and her car collide and a fiery explosion does her in.

oh wait… i’m confusing storylines again arent i? ;) lol

I look forward to each new episode of this strip. I LOVE Dick Tracy!

MM2 seems to be in a panic mode, I wonder if she even knows where she’s going.

Random thoughts:1. I would bet money it’s Mysta calling Stella and Retik.2. I don’t see where VistaBill was presuming to “speak for EVERYONE.”3. Still da Man is back to his old antics that got him banned before. How long will it take this time?4. Pequod’s rhymes are always outstanding and appreciated.5. Staton and Curtis are very deserving of the Harvey nomination. I hope they win.6. I am loving this story.

While I agree with Ray Toler that those who wish to see Mysta go away are in the minority, take heart: If the new banner means anything, note that Moon Maid makes no cameos in those science fiction cameras!

In other words, I feel confident that the next story arc will be much more “down to earth.”

“Moon Maid is on the prowl in the city”While it would have been fun to see some Hy voltage justice dealt by Mysta, I’m loving her return to the city. Yesterday, the moment of Mysta’s fizzle-Zap is captured wonderfully. Mastery of maximizing the limits of the three panel format is one of many reasons that the Harvey Award nomination is so very richly deserved. I recommend the black and white versions of this week’s dailies (Houston Chronicle).Ray posted two excellent panels yesterday of Mysta in the sun, recharging after her life-threatening rescue of mother and baby from a blizzard. The calm after the storm, indeed. Beautiful in repose at the hospital after risking all to save others, this was an early affirmation of her character. Thanks for the kudos Leslie Banks and yumpinyiminey. Also thanks to cpalmeresq and Michael Mallory for your gracious comments on Sunday. I should be so lucky (and honored).
