OH… I could get sooo thrown out of Ballard Street and GoComics for what first came to my mind. Be calm my twitching typing fingers !It was like the ghost of Gweedo was standing behind me.I’ll just suck it up and say nothing……. Except drinks at the Tiki are on me ! We might as well all go down the drain, together.

Camille wants him OUT of that tub…. he’s been in there so long, even the taps look alarmed.

Meanwhile, Neal will think of every excuse to stay submerged….

but you know, he’s just clutching at straws.

Now I’m gonna lie awake half the night trying to figure out what the Linguist is talking about….

Oh well…. I suppose it doesn’t matter, cos I’m usually awake half the night anyway….

Me three for thinking “That’s the last straw!” when I saw the toon.

And oops…I see that two people named Neal’s wife….is she Nora or Camille?

Hmmm…. Neal and Nora; Neal and Camille…. they both have a ring to them…maybe we should draw straws.

I’ve always thought this strip was funny, but now that I’m older, it’s just side-splittingly funny. Is that a sign of senility?

    OK, I’ve been falling asleep….and I have to leave…. But a while ago, I did draw a straw….

and a darn OK one, I think. all things considered….

But I just can’t figure out what it has to do with whether Neal’s wife is called Nora or Camille.

Guys the writing is on the wall, nothing could be truer. In biblical times, in our times; you don’t need a weather man to tell you which way the wind blows. Neal met Carson, Doug, Ned and Ted on lane seven at the Bowl Ballard Street Lanes and Emporium. It was Friday, July 19th, about 6:50pm, that’s when it happened, that’s where he got it. Carson was describing in detail his latest midnight adventure into mailing containers. Apparently tape placement in the early stages of folding is critical to the overall performance and esthetic appeal of your small boxes. Truth be known, tape is not actually part of the art form, but Carson can’t resist, he is a tape fanatic, always has been from the experimental days of scotch tape through duct tape and beyond. Anyway, Neal recalled the kayaking episode and how much fun he had creating the water ways, wetland areas and rest turn outs. And that was the very moment Carson pulled the trigger, when the bullet hit the bone, so to speak. Don’t stop there, he said; there is a new world of urban free diving and suspended water mediation, just ready to be tapped. Neal was off and running, an acute case of polka dot madness if I have ever seen one. Shirley bought the straws, but now she’s sorry.

    Hi everybody….

Getting ready to run off to work at the Wednesday night farmer’s market, way out here at the Western end of Ballard County….

Just came back to see whether anybody drew any more straws, and see whether THAT solved the name mystery….but the only result seems to be that Bev ADDED to it…. with a third name….sigh….

And thanks, Bev and Stel, for admiring my work….but really (… blush….)it was just a simple drawing…..except for those pesky pink stripes, of course…

I only did it cos I thought drawing straws resolved conflicts.

So I don’t plan to sell any drawings of straws….unless it’s OK for people to buy them instead of drawing their own.But I wouldn’t think so….

    I’m so confused!

Does anybody understand how it works??

    x_Tech???!!

    You’re good at explaining stuff….

And Monkey …. you’re good at resolving conflict…..

    Ooooh my poor head…..

And Stel….. OK…. those drones are coming into people’s bathrooms, now?

That really IS the last straw. And maybe even the last umbrella!

Nice picture, though….and I’m glad to hear that he didn’t steal those umbrellas from the Tiki!

We have those cute plastic monkeys at the Tiki, as well…. oh…. oops….don’t wanna give Neal any ideas.

Pssst….. btw…. don’t they make paper straws any more?Gosh….. When did THAT happen?

    I…. um…. don’t get out much.
