That’s what makes being a good mom great…teaching your children so well that when they screw up they know and punish themselves and you just get to sit back and watch.

I took two mental health days: 9/11/01 and 9/12/01. The second day I sat out on the deck and looked up at the skies, so empty of the usual motors, wings and contrails.

A Mental Health day is when the kids go to daycare, the sig other goes to work, and Mom goes to the spa. Ahh. A mud rub, a swim, a massage, heaven. Especially mid week when the place is quiet.

sorry you guys worried about the planes, how soon we forget. 9/11 is what propelled me out of CA – away from the cities and the paranoid feeling I had.

I feel too guilty not to go and teach …my students really depend on me . ESL is not an option anymore.

The only time I took a mental health day, and an emotional health day, was Sept. 12, 2009, which was when my dad was in the hospital and I wasn’t sure if he was going to make it due to suffering from sudden cardiac arrest.Good news, he did pull through, but I called into work that I couldn’t come in since I was waiting at the hospital with my family.
