they should’ve eaten him. Or her. How DOES one tell the difference? Oh, never mind, don’t need to know.

I did that-jumping into an outdoor pool without testing beforehand. It was in Thousand Oaks, CA in December. Now, I’m Canadian and we had just flown from -20C to what is balmy weather for us, I was wearing a sundress and sandals so didn’t even think it would be cold. ICE cold! I came up screaming & hubby laughing so hard he just about fell in! He said that people came out of their rooms to see who was being murdered. 99% of our outdoor pools are heated so I didn’t even think otherwise. My hubby’s comment “why would they? It’s California”. We still laugh about that and I still dive in without testing…unless it is an outdoor pool in the States in winter.

sigh, so true, just because we like something doesn’t mean we get it. There is a reason expensive clothes are desired…many times it is because they feel great and fit soooo nice.

the cost of having a cell phone doesn’t help the family/personal budget, just the service provider!

Needles…haha Snoopy’s brother is from Needles! I didn’t think it was real until I looked it up in an Atlas! My son gave his 6 & 3.5yr olds digital cameras for the trip we did together (separate vehicles). He said it worked. At one stop the 6 yr old (boy) was taking photos of his nose…from the bottom up! A cheap alternative to whining and DVD’s and film cameras.

the “styling directions” are for trained eyes only because they are not all that different, especially with the mid-size SUV’s.

two year olds can play with iPads, so what is their REAL excuse for not visiting?

Yeah yeah and I bet you also say “it’s all fun and games until someone’s eye gets poked out”…quit being a wet rag and play!

With some highly rated books sometimes, if it is Hemingway, no. He is boring, though The Snows of Kilimanjaro almost redeemed him from being overrated. hmmm, no, can’t say it did.

There are too many books so little time that I don’t want to waste my time reading something that bores me or causes me distress (for novels, non-fiction is another set of guidelines).
