So, Allgood is involved but seems to have lost control of the situation.

I have always wondered what “comeupence” was. I have a feeling that Aaron is going to tell us in a few terms we haven’t heard for awhile>> Hmmm.I trust that Velda will also be in THAT parade.Blessing Be.

apparenty, our mr. allgood wasn’t apprised of just what the council’s plans entailed…the outcome, apparently, will be what the council is expecting, regardless what was agreed upon…

As we saw long ago, with Allie the Alligator, the available brand of whiskey in Endtown is Loch Lomond. (Captain Haddock’s choice.)

Allgood never intended for the three girls to go through what they’re suffering now. And as far as he knows, security is treating them well. He has to retain some distance from the HC and the rats in order to maintain his appearance of impartiality. And that’s what is playing into Velda’s hands…

So there’s a plan that’s proceeding. Looks like something maybe not involving The Story So Far. Ah, well. I guess Allgood can take the high road, and Velma and the High Council can take the low road…

All is going according to plan.

Of course, they aren’t telling Allgood just WHO’s plan it’s going according to.

Ominous, I have heard that before. “We got it handled.”Then the bottom falls out.I see Velda’s pantie is still on his head. Good fit. Probably gets drunk and parades around the room wearing her underwear. Singing “I am pretty girl, in a pretty world.”He had to go through HER to get to the Council. Now we know and have known WHO is in charge. Its not “all good” as far as I can tell. You think they can reach the high council chucking stones?

“The paper? Seriously? Are you suggesting you believe something you read in that rag?”Well, apparently, much of Endtown does believe what they read in “that rag.”

I find it interesting that the safety of the women is not guarenteed as he asked, just that it was proceeding as planned. Is it his plan though.

How does one become a dictator? Hitler did it by creating a common enemy (in this case Allgood) and passing himself off as a benefactor of his people. Who ever is really in charge already has an army (The Rats) just needs the authority, which could only be temporary if the high council is still in place.

How how this may proceed. First place Allgood and his kind as enemies, then get the people to take the power away from the high council, then place that power with the “saviour” of the people, or in this case the women?

Tune in next week to another exciting episode of Jack for Dicta…. Um I mean President.?

Let’s not forget that the paper is reporting what Al was told by the other high council person. Allgood doesn’t have the control that he thinks he has.

Oh, they’re not going to be harmed…They’ll most likely be exiled, or even executed. Either way, it’s far different from being just harmed.

I’m still wondering what the purpose of this is. Has Velda packed the HC and played Allgood to give Jake Jackrabbit a shot at dictatorhood? Sounds a bit sophisticated for Jake, but I’ve been wrong before. I guess I’m leaning on making mutant products illegal so that the criminal element (which is controlled by or is controlling Velda) can control and profit from it. As always there are other possibilities.

I wish I could bid… I’m losing my renters in two weeks, so need to go back to saving pennies until I get another one. I’ll just get prints as soon as I can afford them.

“Allgood has no hope of commanding them to not harm the women. He is a fool to think so. He has no control over the situation. He doesn’t know that. As far as he can tell, the rest of his members share his values. He’s trusting, not stupid. At some point, he’s going to see for himself that his trust is misplaced. He’d only be a fool if he thought he could reestablish that trust afterward.

I guess Allgood might be deserving of a little sympathy as his intent was not to harm Holly, Linda and Maude, just have his show trial, get mutant products banned and allow them to return back to society reformed sinners. Still, he doesn’t seem to realize that there SHOULDN’T have been arrests or a trial in the first place. The police should only have been called in when a real crime has been committed or when a serious security breach is involved (like Jacob Jackrabbit receiving a confidential document and writing an editorial that could have ripped Endtown’s society apart). Allgood’s original plan had pushed things way too far. In my mind, it doesn’t matter that Velda and company are playing him, nor that he will be the fall guy as things progress beyond what he had dreamed. I’m going to have a hard time feeling sorry for him when this blows up in his face.

Um…that’s not what I was saying. I was suggesting that Flask did have some justification for sicking the rats after Jacob after he had received a confidential information and using it to write an editorial that could have incited most of Endtown to attack its human appearing population. There was ABSOLUTELY not justification to arrest three women for something that was legal and did not harm Endtown’s security.Even if Allgood didn’t intend for the “sinners” to be put to death, his involvement in packing the high council and trying three law abiding citizens is more deserving of arrest and imprisonment than anything Jacob Jackrabbit ever did. Velda’s part in this could possibly justify the use of Flask’s Mindrain equipment. It would be very important to know what she did, how she did it and who else was involved. Still, I somehow expect her to come away relatively unscathed from all of this.

Just a hunch that could be totally wrong…but I think the council’s looking to get rid of him, or at least what he stands for. That’s the only benefit I can see the council, or whatever has hijacked Endtown, stands to gain from this.

Still…could be totally wrong with that.

It’s impossible to say if he is speaking to one member of the council or the group at once.
