I don’t think the world is particularly “Luddite” friendly if you want to get out to most places now. I mean, even with the pandemic, people are getting more computerized. We are Borg. Resistance is futile.

Those of us who are Cathy’s parents age, understand this one. But please don’t call me names in Spanish.

Just get yourself a mobile home and tour the USA. With a little thought you can still manage social distancing!

I’d be more than happy to put up with some of this nonsense if only it were safe to actually GO somewhere on a vacation these days! ( . •́ _ʖ •̀ .)

I find the controls on most rental cars reasonably easy to locate an use – but figuring out how to open the lid to the gas tank can be a real challenge. There is a nice arrow on the gas gauge to let you know what side of the car the tank opening is on but no handy arrow to whatever button or leaver you need to open it. Last rental did not have a leaver – you simply pressed on the lid itself. Who would have guessed we don’t worry about gas thieves any more!

Another beautiful day today. The predicted rain did not arrive so thought I would have some fun – expanding on the 2 minute demo I had from my neighbour on operating the back hoe currently attached to his tractor. It took a long time but managed to dig a 1’ deep trench about 25 feet long. I am sure anyone who operates this kind of equipment would have fallen down laughing if they were watching. Still, the job is done and the trench is even back filled with clear stone. Now we should not get a pond on the lawn in that spot any more. Next, top soil and grass seed. Somehow I think rebuilding our retaining wall at the beach is a job that will never end.

I hope you had fun this Sunday afternoon. Have a great rest of the day.

I guess I’m almost to the point where vacations are not worth it anymore.
