Cathy: Another old classmate wrote on my wall! And an old neighbor wrote on my wall! And four long-lost room-mates wrote on my wall! I feel so connected! So... ...AACK!! MUDDY PAW PRINTS!! OFF!! OFF!! Electra: So happy when friends write on her wall. So annoyed when we write on her sofa. Vivian: Humans and their bizarre boundaries.
First of all, Cathy and Irving need to be the ones to clean their dogs’ feet whenever they’re muddy. Vivien and Electra can’t do that job themselves so messes like this are C&I’s fault and responsibility to take care of — not theirs.
Second of all, it’s just muddy paw prints. The way she’s going on, you’d think it was the end of the world! I guarantee, most every spot-cleaning solution on the market these days has the ability to clean things like this (and worse!) right up — especially if you do it before they have time to set it. I know because I had a dog for 17 years and had to clean up I don’t know HOW many pee, poop and vomit messes off my carpet over that period of time and when I was done, you couldn’t tell anything had ever happened there to begin with.
Third ….. and this is the absolute most important one of all ….. instead of either ignoring them or constantly scolding them for something that was more her fault than theirs, she needs to love and enjoy having her fur-babies with her for as long as she can because our time with them here on earth is so fleeting and before you know it, they’re gone forever! :’-(
