I once worked in a grocery store and most people would be shocked by how there’s really not a whole lot to eat. Lot’s of fixings but not much prepared.

Most jobs are not glamorous – no matter how they look on the outside. When I did hiring for a major retail chain (walmart), you wouldn’t believe how many wanted to be a stalker. Now that might be glamorous- who knows.BTW – there was a cart herder who ended up being a store manager. And believe me, that is not a glamorous job.

how come High School guidance counsellors never include grocery cart herder when talking about careers?

I thought they were called “cart wranglers”.

No no, it’s spelled “Night Stalker”Much more glamorous. Or scary. Take your pick.

And neither of them have ever sounded very glamorous to me. Mechanically interesting, yes, in the case of a cart herder… So you say they’re even less glamorous than I think?My sincere condolences.
