Lets just just take a look around us folks (and in the mirror): We will see people that used be selfish kids.All Shannon does is saying out loud what she wants, and that is what every kid her age would want: A pretty bowl like yours!

IMHO, Luann and Toni would get far better behavior from Shannon if they started treating her with respect and true caring.She is about 4-5 years old and needs more love and tenderness in her life.Kids pick up on the vibes from people who are merely tolerating them and act accordingly.

We have not seen what life is like for Shannon when she’s with her Dad. Shannon may have to be aggressive to get noticed for anything she wants or needs. Nevertheless, Luann should show Shannon some boundaries – that’s important too.

How did this devolve into politics? BOTH Parties are acting like selfish little snits with an “h”. I will be so glad when the election is over, but the uncivility will still be here. Darnit!

THIS is a cartoon folks, why does everything on here have to be political in one way or another, I HATE politics and will be SOOOOOOOOO glad when this election is over so we can go back to talking about a little girl that needs to feel loved and not just tolerated like kfccanada said.

Let’s keep political opinions off this folks.These days, no one’s view changes and it just ruins where it’s happening..I like the joke where the kid still got what she wanted, except to play with Brad today.

All kids act like that at that age. They grow out of it. It’s when they act like that at Luanns’ age that it becomes a problem.!

Someone needs to remind Shannon, its what’s on the inside that counts. Don’t fall for a pretty surface and ignore the goodness inside.

A Luann comic provides commentators with a chance to talk about the egocentricity of the young, or how Luann is acting like the adults who used to admonish her for the same attitude, or share a laugh on how the bowls were exchanged while Luann lectured, and other points is immediately turned into a political debate on who is worse.That kind of attitude makes Shannon and Luann almost look like the adults in the room. And they’re the FICTIONAL characters.sheesh.C.

I am scared to live in a world of children that get everything they want and get trophies for just showing up.

CROSS-STRIP ALERT

For those of us hungry to see a wedding (Brad & Toni’s is too far off), today & apparently all week on Funky Winkerbean Les and Cayla are marrying in an outdoor ceremony. Today, Cayla’s mom is making her late!

Although Luann said “snit,” she was doing so to be polite— we all know the difference between her thought and her speech!

I was just thinking where is a certain poster who likes to translate every comic strip into Spanish, Italian, etc. just to show of his/her language skills? Looks like he/she missed Luann today. Is it just me, or does this get tiring? I’m not naming names, but please— no one is impressed, and every time I see that person’s post, I do a huge internal eye roll.

@Theresa…3 hours ago…IMHO, Luanne is barely tolerating Shannon in this cartoon..In fact, she’s downright rude. She basically plopped the ‘ugly" bowl with ice cream in front of Shannon and told her to ’like it or leave it’ in so many words. Luann is not really a good child sitter at this point in tme. She’s focussed on Quill and her own issues. Shannon really does deserve better treatment than she’s getting. It’s quite obvious Shannon has had to fight for whatever attention she manages to get from adults in her life. Even Toni ‘ditched’ her responsibilities for Shannon so she could be with Brad. Every single one of the lot need parental courses/behavioral training.
