Gee a candle or so with some prayers to St Anthony of Padua OFM (patron saint of miracles) (and a few more prayers and a candle to the Blessed Mother) would be fine. 8)

The big test or exam days of my youth were usually filled with prayers to St. Jude – Patron Saint of Lost Causes and Hopeless Cases!

Might help. However, one well intentioned prayer reaches God’s ear even without the fireworks. Might want to rethink praying though, if the only time you pray is when you have some supposed need. Pray to let Him know you Love Him; that you are sorroy for all you have done wrong; to thank Him for what He has helped you with in the past and then LASTLY for those immediate needs when they pop up….
