I do enjoy watching most any sport. I also do not believe I am gifted with any power to affect the outcome of any game I am watching or, for that matter attending.

I’m surprised that Arlo didn’t have a heart attack after Jan’s shout!

Seasons are too long in basketball, both college and pro. And then the leagues try to make every team eligible for the playoffs so it cheapens the regular season anyways.

When my wife and I watch our favorite college team or pro team and it’s close boy it’s tense. Our teams are known for “cardiac football”. A LOT of close shaves or last second wins.

And, thus, Arlo misses the shot. Hopefully he can rewind

2 seconds left? Enought for four timeouts, 5 commericals and maybe a foul and maybe a shot.

Did that to hubby during a NASCAR race. He and the dog were napping on the floor. Last Lap. Dale Earnhart had been in the lead the entire race (putting hubby to sleep). Earnhart wiped out and Rob Moroso went on to win the race and I started screaming in delight. We had to pry hubby’s fingernails out of the ceiling he was so freaked out.

Back in the ‘90s, when the Houston Rockets were working on their famous “3 peat” playing the Lakers, I lived in a small, apartment in Houston with very thin walls (one was just a painted hollow core door) and my neighbors insisted on cheering at full volume during the away games, that because of the two hour difference lasted until at least midnight. They cheered like Akeem could here them from their couch. I don’t care for sports so I was not happy for their “3peat”.

My husband hates sports – especially on TV. When the Superbowl used to be on in the afternoon – eastern time – he would walk around in stores which had TV sets for sale and would have the sets showing the game and change the channels on the TVs when no one was in front of a specific set.

And this is a man who has been to more than one NYC World Series when he was a boy. His dad would have someone he was doing business with invite him to the game – “and I’ll bring my boy – you bring yours” and he would go. But if not at the game – he would not watch it on TV or listen to it on the radio.
