Actually “rat getting wasted at Disneyland” has potential – maybe he could be hired as a holiday substitute for Mickey Mouse or some such. A sickly-cute murine, and a resolutely uncute murine….

Rat at Disneyland. Rat punching Goofy, Mickey, etc and raging around the park demanding that they release Uncle Remus from the dungeon where they’ve been hiding him since the 60’s.

Just reading it gave me a laughing whiplash.

Is this why we can’t comment on Brooke McEldowney’s Pibgorn or 9 Chickweed Lane?

I’ll bet that all of these are actual suggestions from readers.

I’m a big fan of letting the cartoonist do the cartoon the way he wants to do the cartoon. If a commentator doesn’t like it, my opinion is that the commentator should shut the f up and start his own cartoon.

If you’re not taking flak, you’re not over the target.

well now that he brings it up….please NO MORE CROCS!!! They are NOT FUNNY in the slightest. It actually makes me sad when I open the paper/call up this site & see a crocs strip.

Rat/Pig/Goat are so awesome, even the puns strips are amusing – why on earth do you need to resort to jokes about ignoramuses who communicate in illiterate patois?

As nice as suggestion Nº 3 would be, I have only one request: Bring back Sweet Fanny!

I have a suggestion! The crocs should come up with a really stupid plan to eat Zeeba Neighbor, which fails and one of the crocs dies.

I just bought a book of rejected New Yorker cartoons. The editor had each cartoonist answer some stock questions. One was “I have a great idea for a cartoon. Would you like to hear it?” The answers all boiled down to either “no” or “hell, no.”
