You tell ‘im dad! It isn’t so much about the tax forms, as the total lack of integrity. (Like Rush)

It’s too bad Mitt doesn’t have 1/2 of the integrity of his father.I’m not a Republican, but I respected George Romney. Like Rockefeller and Goldwater and Dirkson, not men I’d agree with on most issues, but men of honor nonetheless.Mitt is just a pale shadow of his father; richer, but of far less quality. He’s not the least bit “presidential.”

If the returns are legal and he’s paying a low rate, he should share his secrets with everyone so we can ALL benefit.

If his returns are legal and he pays a low rate, he should share his secrets with American taxpayers so we can ALL benefit from his brilliant tax strategies. Come on, Mitt!

Also calling for Romney to release his tax returns, such flaming liberals as Bill Kristol, George Will, Rick Perry…

If released, the returns would show income from Bain Capital which would prove he is not telling the truth about his association with the firm.

Back during the Republican primaries, Newt Gingrich (that well-known liberal) said that it was “outrageous” and “absurd” for anybody to run for president without releasing his income tax forms. Of course, since Newt changes his mind nearly as often as Romney does, he might not say it now. But plenty of other conversatives are saying it (or have said it). I think Romney’s father would probably be ashamed of him for not releasing them. And I think Romney is NOT who he was 4 years ago, anymore than the John McCain of 2008 was the same as the John McCain of 2000. Both were better people during their first runs for the presidency.

Let it go Lord Mittens, we know you are a crook and a tax cheat. You prove it every time you refuse to release the evidence.

“Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.”Barack Obama, in context. Also, I would LOVE to se what marxist policys Obama has put in place, considering he has LOWERED taxes, cut regulations, and generaly makes reagan look like an insane communist.

Obama DID release his birth certificate. (Of course, no intelligent person doubted that he was born in the United States even BEFORE the release of his “long form” birth certificate……..) Speaking of Marxism, I took a philosophy class on Karl Marx back in college. I was (and am) a capitalist, and the professor who taught it was (and is) a capitalist. He was also a Jesuit priest who could have made a nice living as a stand-up comedian, which was the main reason I took the course, after taking several other philosophy courses from him. Taking a college course on any topic doesn’t necessarily mean agreement with all (or part) of the topic.

“Would Tom have drawn a cartoon of Obama’s dad telling him to release his birth certificate?”Why would he? Obama was an American citizen at birth regardless of what country he was born in. Not even the birthers dispute his mother was an American citizen at the time of his birth.

Not only did he not serve in Vietnam, but his tax rate would indicate he’s not contributing , proportionately,to the care of those who did, some patriot..

I think his dad was twice the man he is. He is no patriot, he hates government! HE will probably get up and take all his money and his citizenship to a country that is more to his liking.

@HarleyquinnYou DO know that all those car companies and banks and insurance companies and real estate companies he (and little George) bailed out all had considerably more than 50 employees, each? And the next time Obama calls himself “all powerful” will (OBVIOUSLY!) be the first time. Sigh. Where did all the grownups go? Long time passing…….Barry Goldwater prided himself on the “arena battles” and so forth, which meant proper DEBATE, not mere name-calling or Karl Rove dirty tricks. I’m too young to remember Barry except in passing but I miss ol’ Barry……..

“liberal traitors”??lol, lol. You sound just like Rush Limbaugh! The same Limbaugh who was a draft dodger during the Vietnam War. As was Ted Nugent. And Dick Cheney. And Mitt Romney, who dodged the draft four times.

Well, Willard has really backed himself into a corner. Of course, to be fair, his father probably felt fine about releasing HIS returns because back then, the wealthy actually DID pay a fair share. Poor little Mittens has just been using the tax shelters and advantages brought to him by the Gordon Gecko generation of Reaganite “job creators”.

Even if everything is legal, it’s a perfect karma moment for the greedy oligarchs in this country. Sure hope the good people of this country don’t reward this guy for making money in this sleazy manner.

McCain said ‘there was nothing disqualifying’ in the tax returns. He would not discuss specifics, like whether there were years when Willard paid no taxes or got a refund.-He did not say how much was in Willard’s Swiss Bank Account, or how much was in the tax havens of Bermuda or Cayman Is.-He did not say if there was anything unethical, borderline illegal or flat-out disgusting in the tax returns.-Nothing about when Willard ‘left’ Bain.-Only ‘not disqualifying’. Seems like something his lawyer would advise him to say.

In the end, as I read some of the childish nonsense conservative posters write here, I feel obliged to respond in kind:

Yo …the “Whites Only” sign has been permanently removed from the Oval Office door … nah nah nah boo boo !
