Wally have always seemed to look back. I think he longed for his old life but who in their right mind in this new mutated world wouldn’t? But something tells me this isn’t that part he longed for…

Looks like someone got the ball rolling right down memory lane. Wally’s really lucky that he’s got someone who really loves and cares about him on this trip. He’s going to need all the love and understanding that she can give him. She’ll be able to help him see clearly; since we all have a distorted view of our past.

I know what to call this chapter: “A Fistful of Dittos”.

The problems of using an illusionist as a d.ex m. What is real will never be resolved.

Using dittos to create a regression psychodrama is a lot more powerful than a lucid dream because the latter shut down when things get too intense. Fritz Perls’ Gestalt Therapy works the same way, by having the dreamer switch roles and identify with the aggressor in nightmares. A lot of repetition is necessary, until the the aggressor and his victim express and acknowledge what is really driving them and realize they are both part of a whole.

Aaron Marx does seem to have a wisdom behind his madness. Wally is lucky to have Holly to help him stay focused as he goes through his ordeal. He’ll make it through. I’m not so sure Flask will have the courage or humility to go through her own vision quest or dark night of the soul.

Does this mean Wally will not be chasing the ball?I absolutely LOVE this strip!!!Not only do we have one adventure after another full of surprises at each and every turn, but we also have commentary that makes me want to say,“Eat your hearts out, Siskel & Ebert!”.Keep up the good work, everyone!!!

Speculation: Aaron is about to do to Wally what the dittos did to Sparky, taking him on a dark trip down memory lane and Holly’s going for the ride.

Remember, the dittos are video creatures only. There is picture only, no sound. In Sparkplug’s case, his memory provided the dialogue. Therefore, assuming this is a replay of Wally’s memories, Holly only gets to experience half of the show. Maybe Aaron M. has tweaked them some way to get around this, only time will tell.

Will he do this with the others? Throw ditto spheres at Flask/Blackie? Petey? Or even Linda? Reminds of the “Dream Curse” story arc in the campy daytime soap opera Dark Shadows (1966-1971).

And why does Holly always look scared when she’s tough as nails?

OH, they didn’t need This!! It was pixels and not a real balloon! Well, at least they have a change of scenery, but it’s for the worse! It’s hard to tell if they are in a dangerous place or just an illusion, but even in illusions it seems to matter what they do.

that makes me wonder about Holly’s past.

And the torment never stops as the crocodile curse continues.

Wally gets to lose everything again – only with Holly as an observer. Every bad decision – every horror there to see.

Perhaps Wally is getting the same judgement that he is setting out to Flask.

Okay! Flashbacks a la’ dittos. Reminds me of an old ‘Star Trek’ episode, which was built around an earlier pilot episode, Capt. Kirk and crew take Capt. Pike back to a planet where the inhabitants use the power of illusion so perfectly that reality and fantasy were indistinguishable. The dittos are master illusionists in the hands of Aaron Marx. Wally and Holly are in for one wild ride.
