You know, it’s not good to hate someone. But I really, really REALLY hate Captain Flask. Destroy one of the Topsider cities? Bad idea. Bad idea.

it might not be a Bad Idea…look the Topsiders are into Purity they will never except the Mutants that are not Monsters and still have there minds… I am getting the Impression that Pete is Husband to Flask…I know burning them all to death is just tit for tat….

No one’s in favor of genocide here,Jack. We’re just creatively speculating upon Flask’s mindset. I think we’re all sufficiently creeped out at that last panel!

Let’s not lose sight of the fact that the rocket only exists because the topsiders wanted to destroy Endtown. And little Linda there is only a koala because her plan to kill Wally & Holly backfired.

No pity for the topsiders. Not even a little bit…

Ohhhh boy. Linda knows that look. She has a son. She knows that what Flask is doing is what a mother would do for a son who’s been abominated by the enemy in a war.

Petey apparently has a face only a mother can love. And she does.

Ok, Topsiders live in more than one community. Presumably, those communities talk to each other over radio or something similar. Topsiders have cobalt bombs that can wipe out bunkers 1 mile underground., Now, you want to drop one rocket on one Topsider community, in order to have all of the others focus on dropping cobalt bombs on every square inch of land where your bunker is estimated to be? Not an optimal solution.

Poor Holly & Wally are going to have nightmares over their part in this. – or perhaps they can intervene in time.

As I said previously – Flask is just a topsider in a kitty coat – same blind hatred – same heartless and ruthless goal. Some can be saved from this darkness by being exposed to the light of kindness and mercy thats in Holly and Wally – others – well they love darkness – and embrace it to their distruction.

The interesting part is now Linda is seeing her own darkness in Flask. Does she chose Holly’s path or Flask’s path. — If she choses Flask’s path she only has to bid her time – waiting – calculating – for the apropriate opportune time.

Oh, and I forgot, I don’t think Petey is on board for this. I believe he has chosen Holly’s path. It will be interesting when he confrounts Flask about her choices. – Maybe, just maybe he can turn her.

Ensure the safety of Endtown, end an ages long conflict with a heavily armed enemy that has more resources and technology, If I was at war I would want Flask on my side. It’s not like the topsiders are going to come to a conference and discuss peaceful co-existence. One of ‘em wanted to skin Wally so he could give his wife a pelt, and lets not forget what it is that makes the transports and mutts work so efficiently. While it is true that she obviously has ulterior motives, it is also true that she has merely incorporated those motives into her current mission which is to destroy the rocket. No one said she couldn’t destroy the rocket by crashing it into the topsider capital. It would seem that they are the aggressors in this conflict and that they obviously can’t be reasoned with so Flask is killing two birds with one stone, bird #1 is the rocket, and bird #2 is the topsiders…or at least I hope she is talking about the topsiders. “Enemies” is what she said, and that topsider blaster she carries functions for her, she would make a scary bad double agent.

What I would like to know is where Blackie got her info. To know a specific data card that needed to be replaced is deep intel from somewhere.

And all you bleeding hearts out there, you would have found a home in pre 1939 England or in the group of people saying we should not have used the bomb on Japan. The English lost thousands more then they would have if they had stopped Hitler in the early 30’s and we and Japan would have lost millions more if we had invaded the home islands rather than using the bomb. God save us from the appeasers and cowards.

i don’t think Flask is old enough for Petey to be her son, but husband is a real possibility. That “all our enemies” has a sinister ring to it, we are not talking just one outpost here. And if the topsiders are all somewhere else, how are they going to burn? Linda is about to be heard from. I doubt Wally, Holly & Petey will go along with this plan…

Okay…..Its Official…….Flask is Nuts,Bonkers,Mad,Crackers,needs a trip to the ‘Enchanted Kingdom’.

Ever notice how people can justify the most awful things because they’re “doing it for someone else”? The mistress of a cheating husband listens to him complain about his wife, so she kills the wife “for him”. It’s clear that Petey doesn’t want any part of this “gift” Flask is insisting on giving him.

Something tells me that their pre-mutation relationship is even closer than we imagined, parent? lovers? siblings?

The good captains heart will be broken, when not only does Petey remembers, but rejects her, because of the blind hatred that has all but consumed her.

This mission isn’t about saving Endtown! It’s abouT Revenge isn’t it?

You have to have pity for the self centered and idiotic, because at several points in your life you were among their number.

It’s just sad that anyone even knows of genocide. this world is a hard place and I know I don’t know a 10th of it. Very interesting and compelling story. I hope that somehow Linda’s child could get out of the town.
