I received several messages over the weekend inquiring about the book deal. Yes, I do still have books to sell. And here’s the pitch for all you newcomers (welcome, BTW!):The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover (http://tinyurl.com/3uytdhy), it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, email me for my snailmail. And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)

Well, she certainly wasn’t trying all that hard, at least by the looks of the second panel there – they’re both enjoying their little chase. Good for Holly for turning such a painful and dramatic scene into happy frolicking and playful roughhousing. ;)

Was she chased by her parents when she was young, her uncle? Is that the only way to seek comfort, by being chased? I think someone did something to her as a child, and chasing her isn’t help. She needs professional psychological help, I think this was address by the Muskrat Doctor…

I don’t think so, Pelicanator. She doesn’t get her jollies by being chased. She gets her jollies by helping people.

Yes….. We get to wonder all weekend if he’ll kiss her, laugh and help her to her feet to chase her again, or succumb to those feline instincts and try to eat her. My money’s on the kiss as both of them could use some one in their lives.

In that last panel, he sure looks like “now what?”! He’s as surprised as we are, I think. The tension is palpable as he rapidly sorts through his own psyche! Only one here who’s not surprised is Holly, I’d say.

Maybe Holly is giving Wally a hickey. Some women do that to mark their men as being theirs and alerting other women that this man is taken. Anyway, Wally will have to really get a grip on himself and realize Holly is in love with him. Then what? Kiss time? If he doesn’t, Holly may cut her loses and leave. As a side note: Men are so dumb! They get so wrapped up in conquest and sex that they don’t recognize true love when it shows up. Just venting.

No kissing! Holly should go feral and fight like hell to avoid being eaten by the big nasty cat. She should give in to her instincts as a mouse, too. Mousefuratu FTW!!

Trying to recall if Wally has been shown smiling before, but his expression in the second panel would indicate that Holly’s theory was correct. As for the speculation on a possible kiss – does Aaron ever do what we expect?? . Once again, another amazingly-drawn strip that says so much without saying anything.

A strip that looks kid-friendly (which it isn’t) and all of you giving PG-13 comments. To quote Ben Stein in that Clear Eyes commercial, “Wow!”

It’s not holly’s teeth….it’s wally’s collar. Look at the angle of the so called teeth, they are pointing upward. Her teeth can not bend.

A lot of us were afraid Wally’s feral instincts might take over but at this point I am thinking its Wally’s “male” instincts are going to take over & maybe even surpass the whole PG-13 thing. LOL! Not explicitly of course.

I certainly hope that I don’t see anything of the crazy sort. And there I go jumping to conclusions. (this scene reminds me of the lion king movie. during the song section “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”).

(laughs) Three Steps, what do you think instincts are? They’re not comprehensive computer programs in our DNA, you know. A cat’s instinct is to chase; a mouse’s is to run. But neither covers what to do when one catches the other.Take it from a guy who indulges his hunting instinct through websearches. ;)

I don’t think Holly was chased by Cliff because she loves it, nor do I think she was anticipating that was how their little scheme was going to end up. I don’t think she gets her kicks by being chased, I think she’s just proud of her speed – for all we know, she may run into this problem on occasion considering that they live amongst carnivorous anthros who are being forced to eat nothing but beans. As for offering Wally to chase her, I think she did it just to put him in a situation where his instincts might take over and threaten her. This way it’s in a controlled environment and she sees it coming and is prepared for it. Better that than having Wally’s instincts take over at inopportune times.

Ok, no one started squealing yet, so I won’t be the first one to. ;) Really sweet though, the way they look at each other in the last panel. And beautiful to see Wally let go of his fears and just jump at the mouse.

This has been something that has been on my mind since I got into this series: Are there any new generation residence of End Town and if so, are there some types of cross breeds or how does that work? Or do they not reproduce at all? Do the kids come out human?!?
