Didn’t I say this strip would dither the week through without Tiffany doing anything. Her imagined suit looks nice. I’m sure her thicc self would look good in it. But we won;t see her in it. Too risque.

Please Tiff – You know Kip likes you. Just go down to the pool and hang out with Kip. Like friends. If it is meant to be it will be.

I would argue it’s creepy if Tiffany actually does something. Just thinking about it is not creepy — you can’t always control your thoughts.

This from a girl who once brought a video camera into the girls’ shower to take embarrassing videos of Luann there.

This might lead to Tiffany deciding to move back toward her more svelte figure. The drama would be felt on several levels. Specifically on the Kip/Steph already rocky relationship. But also on the relationship with the rest of the main characters. Her tips at her job might improve dramatically. Les might get revved up again. See https://www.gocomics.com/luann/2017/06/06. Not so much Jack, as he has already had a date with the slim Tiff with no apparent result. Would a slim Tiff’s relationship with Dez change? How about OX?

Karen probably won’t go there but the thought is a mind enhancer.

On the other hand! Will Tiff awaken in the pool house one morning with Kip? That I think would be the instant where the strip “Jumped the Shark.”

Tiff is thinking clearly. I’m fascinated by this arc. Very interested to see where it goes.

If it’s causing her this much angst, she should ask Kip to leave.

Interesting. She’s showing self awareness and restraint. Good for her. Ironically, Kip will like her better if she behaves with class and maintains boundaries than if she throws herself at him. Unlike his current squeeze.

Hey tiff, it’s YOUR house, why not strut around in a skimpy two-piece brazillian after you get a brazillian wax. You’ve always said if you got it, flaunt it. You said it yourself, you have a curvy figure…so flaunt it. I’m sure it’ll drive kip AND stef nuts. lol

She certainly has a point about putting the shoe on the other foot. We poor males try to be pure at heart (really we do) but femininity just overwhelms us. We are far too often overcome by lust. We don’t want to be. But we are weak.

At least we get to suffer while looking at beauty. I can live with that.

Why don’t Luann just invite some friends over such as Oxford, Bets & Gunther (if they have not started their road trip yet) and perhaps Luann who could invite Jack, Nil, Bern, Tara, etc. and have a pool party? Beats being a “voyeur” peeping through the blinds. Or what the heck, just go out for a swim yourself Tiff!

Betca Kip comes to the front door and rings the bell and says “I saw you spying. It is silly. Come and join me at the pool.”

Say what you will, but at least Tiff is doing some serious self-reflection about how and why it’s wrong. Most 19 year-olds her age would be ok with being creepy because their lust knows no limits. Tiff is putting a stop-gap on hers for all the right reasons. I’m proud of the girl!

Question is, is he thinking likewise about her?

BTW, I only now discovered after decades have passed that Tiff has blue eyes.

Yes. Panel #2 is the old, sexy Tiff. That sultry look and inviting position could seduce any guy from across the room.

She has a positive body image; she sees herself as shapely. That is great. Enough talk about her change since high school.

The Metamorphosis of Tiffany?

Everyone would spy on you, everyone would judge your looks. (Some of the readers always have, after all.) Everyone in this strip would look at you without a second thought. So go join him.

Go downstairs and make a glass of water, maybe watch some tv.

I have to admit, Tiffany is a lot more intospective and empathic than she has been in the past.

Tiffany is really capable of understanding the situations and to see what is wrong. Is awesome! The distance between the 100% selfish cheerleading queen Tiffany and the current one is now so strong that I don’t think she can ever go back. I have no idea how she’s going to resolve this situation where she wants Kip but knows she can’t have him, but the conflict is exciting and reveals her deep mental growth. By the way, I’d like to know the color of the others characters’ eyes. We know that Tiffany has blue eyes and Luann has hazel eyes. What about all the others?

Nice to see Tiff losing her arrogance and developing a conscience. More and more, she’s becoming a likeable character.

Oh God.

This is getting nowhere fast.

Tiff, you’re on your bed. So take a nap and dream about what you’d REALLY like to do.

And when you next go to work? Ask to borrow some of Nancy’s “special books.”

Then, you can dream about being a mermaid just like Bernice DID, since you’re BOTH pretty much in the SAME boat at this point.

Maybe you should be thinking of other things, Tiffany, like how Tom is going to find out sooner or later that the house was broken into.

Here’s what I want to see: Stef does something really nasty, Kip breaks up with her. It’s a very bad break up. Stef goes away. Kip and Tiff get together. Then, a couple of years later, Stef comes back… with Ann Eiffel as an associate, orchestrating some other scheme.

She has come a long way since high school. I don’t remember what year it was, but I recall a storyline in which the school was holding a dunk tank event, and she reveled in the excuse to show off her body in a bathing suit. In today’s strip, it seemed for a moment that she was reliving her delight in showing off her body, only to realize a different perspective.

kip likes girls who put out.

Not only is it creepy, it’s infectious! I was imagining Tiff in that one-piece. I do love blue.

More self-awareness than we’ve come to expect from Tiffany.

Maybe Tiff is beginning to mature.

Saw a glimpse of high-school Tiff – and she’s gone.

Maybe you should just tell him to leave before this gets completely out of hand. Besides, I know plenty of single guys who are already head over heels for you.

I don’t think what Tiffany is going through is at all creepy; quite the contrary, I think it’s a very good sign for Tiffany, she is able to actually come to terms with herself, without the artifice of trying to be skinnier (I like her new look personally, it’s more honest), recognizing she is attracted, but questioning the morality of it. The growth shown here is a huge step forward for her; it could all go poof with a patented misdirection play by GnK but somehow, like the Gun/Bets road trip (never had a scintilla of doubt about it btw) I think a new level will be reached.

Is it “creepy” that you want to look attractive, Tif? Even if it is just for yourself, which, truth to tell, wouldn’t be in this case. Besides, you can always blame it on Steff, making you say nothing would happen. (BTW, while there’s nothing wrong with the one piece in your imagination, why not a somewhat “modest” two piece?" Skin loving male oglers want to know.)

We’re a “visual” species. She’s perfectly normal.

Is Tiffany so conceited and full of herself that she thinks that saying good morning or using her own pool will make Kip fall in love with her? It just doesn’t make any sense at all, and it’s definitely NOT a good look for that character!

And did Steffanie think that planting Kip in the pool house with instructions for Tiffany to stay hidden would mean that he wouldn’t see another female all summer?? Does he never leave the property?? Is that what has to be done with him? I guess it’s like keeping a male dog in his kennel away from the females.

Why is Tiffany so much more interesting than Luann?

This feels like Tiffany getting frustrated with the authors right now. “Are you there, Evanses? It’s me, Tiffany! Why’d you make me allow Kip to stay here if he’s off limits?! What were you thinking? Now, I’m in a limbo of wanting to do what you might call ‘floozy-things,’ but if I do it’d seem like a bad idea!”

Also, that bathing suit suggests her eyes are meant to be blue and it makes me think of the Simpsons gag where Marge is upset at Homer for not noticing her and being inattentive for the entirety of their relationship to the point where he didn’t even know Marge’s eye color. Only then later when he does notice her it zooms in on her eye and she has a thin itty-bitty iris outline around her black dot eyes that’s hazel. I dunno… that gag made me chuckle and this strip reminded me of it.

Also good on Tiff for being confident and knowing it’d be wrong to revert to her old ways just cause she’s hot for Kip.

She may hate thinking, but she’s doing a lot of it. I expected an about face, didn’t happen. Now I’d like to see who comes visiting and sets her straight. Bets and Gunther are on road adventures, Dez is out of the country. That leaves Ox and Les. If she’s not at work, maybe they’ll come looking for her. Unless there is an intruder, Kip is worthless as a body guard and she saves him! ;-D

It is creepy that Tiffany is getting so excited thinking of herself in a swimsuit. I thought she was interested in Kip.

Cute suit. Turn it around that you have a beautiful pool to swim in and you will need a suit and in real life, women do not deliberately buy the frumpiest suit they can find.

I would love to see Tiffany finally emerge in her swimsuit and Kip (who is swimming laps) not even notice. She has herself so convinced that he’s going to make a move on her “beautiful self” that she isn’t even coming out of her room. There’s always the kitchen or family room…but wait, they don’t have windows facing the pool. Just take your coffee out to the pool deck and relax, don’t forget the sunscreen….oh, but wait, Kip would of course, want to rub it on you, then he’d ask you to rub some on him, and then… Better stay in your room Tiffany!

The Evans are kinda of lazy in not drawing any furniture other than the bed. Tiffany needs a new hairstyle that helmet hair is getting old.

Creepy? I don’t know, compared to what? Say, a bunch of old guys fantasizing about how a cartoon character might look in a skimpy bikini? Nah, that’s not creepy at all…

Well,nothing much has happened his week—-except Raymond Burr lives next door and Tiff just saw him murder his wife.

And on t heir road trip,Bets and Gunther meet Sally and Ted Forth coming the other way. Their road trip is doing so great either.

I dunno…I think Tiffany is likely thinking of what she’d be doing if she was down there at the pool. Steffi, the dear girl, put a lot of things in her head as well as Kip’s. Tiff is definitely thinking about consequences, but then again, she needs to remember, this is HER home and not Steffi’s plantation, or wherever she lives. It’s time Kip got a real pair, Tiffany got her assertiveness on, and Steffi got put in her place. I’m not one to dislike cartoon characters, but Ann, Bets, and Steffi need to go so we can get back to the soap opera that the original characters had all by themselves. It was much more entertaining. And funny.

What I find both amazing and good is that her character has changed so much. Who would have thought that she would be exhibiting any bit of the positive characteristics she shows now? She’s got a ways to go, but she’s well on the way to being a person I wouldn’t mind calling a friend. And that’s a real shock!

Even her fantasies are more about HER than Kip—-her outfit, how she looks, etc. That is sad on so many levels.

Just go out, lose the suit and jump in.

She needs human contact, no ifs ands or butts. She is desperate for human contact, where she finds it is the question.

All Tiff needs to do is go out and offer Kip some refreshments. She gets to take a look without being super creepy, and Kip gets a snack and/or a lovely beverage.

Tiff is obviously attracted to Kip. Who, here, can honestly say they have never had fantasies about someone they knew, was dating a friend, etc?

Poor Tiffany, conflicted and torn between her hormones and her conscience.

Or, in other terms, her Id and her Superego are fighting it out!
