Yeah, Stefani, gate codes are so worth a steal.

Why does a real estate lawyer wandering around the world? Real Estate is land. It doesn’t move. The laws concerning the land does vary from place to place. TF would lost in Japan or Bangkok. Foreign companies would come to him to deal in US properties.

Gate codes!? Well… at least she’s trying. One of my sons was in the repo business many moons ago in Tampa. There is a service code on most of those gated communities that is known. Gated comms are not immune to the repo bug!

That broken window has been left uncovered and that part of the house exposed to the elements for at least a month, Luanniverse time.

I know Tiff was afraid to go back to the manse, but you’d think she would have talked at least one if not ALL of her guy pals to go with her to at least tape something over that broken window until it got fixed.

As for Stef?

Maybe Stef and NOT Luann, should take a writing class since Stef has such a (SNORT) “vivid imagination.”

Hold on—in all this time nobody at least boarded up the window? So rain, birds, stray cats, thieves, rats, raccoons, blown leaves, flies, wind, mosquitos and disturbingly unidentifiable creepy-crawlies could come in with impunity? Wouldn’t Tiff’s father at least have called a handyman?

Also please note Bets standing next to the broken window for a size comparison. She could have easily slipped through the window. Not that she would, but plenty of people come in her size.

I thought Ox said he would fix the window, then in last week’s story Tiffany was told the glazers were there to fix the window. Notice that they aren’t there either.

NOW the hole in the window is a lot BIGGER than the original one weeks ago which was golf sized and had shards around it. This one today, the glass is broken around the pane frame. GnK has no concept of consistency. I find that annoying.

Ok, playing Devil’s Advocate here (Don’t wanna, but someone has to keep the balance): Props to Stef for at least pointing out that just because something doesn’t SEEM stolen, doesn’t mean it isn’t. Stolen data is a good possibility.

It’s a second floor window. Maybe some idiot was just trying to break a window. BUT, is there a rock on the floor?

Now WAIT a minute!!! Tiffany’s been at the guest house for a month, the mansion has been sitting with a broken window the entire time? She didn’t even have it boarded over Or sweep up the broken glass?

So for the past month the house has had a gaping hole in one of its windows, allowing cold air, rain, snow, and any birds or critters that could climb in to get into the house. She’ll probably find lots of animal droppings and moisture damage, not to mention astronomical heating bills since all of the heat’s been going out that broken window.

It’s been months and it’s still not fixed? This house must have the maintenance and repairs done by a contractor from Detroit.

This is Luannverse where there is a large degree of poetic license as to how factual situations are describes, still it’s hard to square the window being broken for a month. Some tie-in is coming. Actually I think ditzy Steph might have a point.

Wait — this broken window is on an upper floor? So the perp had to climb up to break in. Why not just break a downstairs window, instead?

And this gaping hole has been in the mansion window for aaallllll this time? No one thought to repair this?

Kudos to Stef for thinking about data theft. I don’t know if that’s the case, but it could be a possibility.

I say Tara needed a place to stay. The only question is, this is at least a second floor window (notice the stairs and it’s direction) so unless someone shimmied up with something, the only thing that could have busted that windows from the outside would had been a (large) baseball or whatever.

They’re no help at all.

You would have thought Ox would have at least duct-taped that window closed when he repaired the front door.

Stef is in her normal, Deep Ditz mode; Betts hasn’t done anything self-centered/selfish/center-of-attention yet. But the week is still young.

I believe the window was fixed and broken again.Note that burglars aren’t going to break a 2nd story window and there are shards in the frame. Something else has been breaking it. Time to go outside and see what is lying around.

Perhaps, Stef broke the window just out of spite. Now, she’s trying to cover up for herself by suggesting things that could’ve been stolen by an unknown thief.

As other readers have mentioned, it has been established that a month has passed since Tiff found the broken window. Even assuming she could only get a repairman to come 4 weeks after calling, it’s remarkable that nothing has been cleaned, no attempt made to block the hole temporarily and that she most probably hasn’t told her father otherwise he would certainly have found a way to handle the matters even from far away. She did say that nothing has been stolen so she spent enough time in the property to ascertain that.

I expect the resolution will be lame, like finding a ball nudged in a corner.

They’re going to find a baseball that crashed through the window, explaining the entire “break in”, and making the drama utterly pointless. Yay! Big waste of time for everybody!

This has been open for a month? And Tiffany still has her arm in a sling? Logic aside, ;-) what gate? If no one came in then, they could have entered in the month. Are they going room to room, or will they call Ox Protection? Stef is really quick with a suspicious mind.

FINALLY! This comic makes me despise Stef quite a bit less. I didn’t enjoy hating her, and that final hand signal was so enjoyable.:)

the wrought iron bars on the window have been bent; someone would have to bend them with an acetylene torch. The hole does look big enough for someone to squeeze through (someone small like Ann Eiffel). Steffie has a point in that just because it doesn’t look like anything is missing (on the surface) doesn’t mean that someone who went in didn’t have some intent. Maybe they will go into Tom’s office and check there. The one person who previously accessed Tom’s accounts was likely Ann; she might also be able to still log onto his computer and move $ around.

Steph almost has figured it out. A high powered drone with a laser to melt the bar smashed through the window to steal the nuclear launch codes. The drone, of course, was remotely controlled by an evil government agent or superspy. Wait! I’ve got it! It was Ann Eiffel!

So, she’s left that window open this whole time? That’s pretty ridiculous.

Likely the whole window, door, door frame will have to be replaced.

I don’t think there ever was a break-in. Something broke the window, a rock, ball….it will be proven that no one was in the house, therefore, safe to return to.

A golfball is something that can go farther than a baseball and make a big impression on a window. Less likely but possible is hail, would leave no evidence other than damage.
