    You might think Dad would be alerted already. Yeah, Tinkertoys aren’t like metal rivets but there’s still a metal chute and a full bucket of water that Cal needed a ladder to reach. But Dad always seems more interested in his paper than his son.

    The hinges appear to be on the outside, doors open towards the hinge side, so the door will open out. Where is the ladder? If Calvin can carry a ladder into the house, climb up the ladder carrying a full bucket of water he should have upper body strength to eat Moe’s lunch.

    I had one of those sets, wooden discs with holes around them, with sticks that fit into the holes. I think they ended up in the wood stove, along with my Lincoln Logs. Sad.

    If I remember correctly, my experience with tinker toys was that they became dramatically UN-stable at a height of about two feet.
