Letting Mueller continue is the default option. I very much suspect that Pяesidunce Donnie Johnnie Tяumpie is, ultimately, too cowardly, if nothing else, to do otherwise. Moreover, even in his delusional state Donnie’s got to know that if he trashes Mueller he’ll be trashing himself, almost certainly and instantly. Better to postpone the inevitable. Maybe he can still find some way to weasel out of it; in the past he always has…

ALAS, IT’S NOT SO – {limerick}

Our president’s quite an ass, yet

he thinks himself quite an asset

who’ll save our nation

from all our frustration.

But this isn’t so. Alas, nyet.

Mueller and 60-70% of the voters are in jeopardy as the Republicans submit to the will of Trump who seeks revenge against those who do not support him.

Mueller is FAR too smart, and you KNOW he has planned for ANY eventuality, including Fatso trying to fire him…

McConnel would protect Putin, I’m sure.

With the American infrastructure as bad as it is Trump will fall into a sinkhole before he reaches Mr. Mueller.

Even if the tRumpturd were to fire Mr. Mueller, he is still going down. Mr. Mueller isn’t the “only soldier in town”. It might buy him a short delay but “he is going down”!

A Double-Crossing Guard…?

Clearly Paul Ryan couldn’t stomach it any more.

If Trump fires Mueller, Ryan and McConnell would be happy to impeach him and install Pence as president.

Why would the GOP protect him? They haven’t been doing their job for years.

Conservative pundit Jennifer Rubin: “Ryan’s departure makes his refusal to remove from committees GOP characters such as Rep. Devin Nunes — who colluded with the White House in smearing the FBI and wrecking the intelligence-oversight system — all the more inexplicable. Why not take the heat to do the right thing, especially if Ryan is not going to run anyway?”

In old movies, people always put incriminating documents in safety deposit boxes to be opened only in the even of their sudden demise. Wonder if Mueller watches old movies?
