Hello, Mikefive? Have you been paying attention the last 36 years? The republicans promise that tax cuts will trickle down to the little people. But no, they did not. And here they are saying it all over again. That is more than sufficient for caustic humor and comment! You should be ashamed of that comment, unless you are actually referring to the fact that there is no substance to “trickle down.”
And the proof that trickle down does not work is in the historical record of how effective income for the middle and lower classes has declined, while the rich get richer.
And your conservatives tried the same “trickle down will work” shtick back in the 20s, Right before the worst depression in US history.
This is what the republicans wanted. They voted to give tax cuts to the rich, and a shell game for the middle class. The republicans are sick and tiered of the middle class and poor taking everything from the rich, who work harder than you. Otherwise, the GOP wouldn’t keep offering tax cuts to the rich as the solution to everything.
If you really want the good old days, let’s go back to taxing the rich on the same tax scale as the good old days. Check out the tax scale for the rich pre-Reagan. Between 70% and 90%.! Watch how much screaming will go on then. Reagan started lowering taxes for the rich on the theory that if the rich have more money to spend it will increase the amount of money that the middle class and the poor will receive through the spending of the rich. Does that make sense to you? Well it doesn’t make sense to me? And it certainly didn’t show up that way over the last 30 years? Trickle nomics! L the most ill conceived economic formula ever.
The House version of the healthcare bill (which even Trump called “mean, mean, mean”), was not a health care plan. It was not healthy, it didn’t care, and it was not a plan. What it was, was a tax cut for the rich, to be paid for by taking money away from both the middle class and the working class. The current abomination in the Senate is much the same. Luckily, one war hero might be able to torpedo it, so the draft dodger won’t have anything to sign. (If Trump wants something to sign, may I humbly suggest a letter of resignation?)
Republicans tend to be zombies with the ideas they keep digging out of the graves and sending them back again and again being relentless is the hopes that their enemies will crack to their indomitable will.

The Republican base still believes this.
Of course, they still believe that Saddam had nucular weapons.
And Mexico will pay for it.

And that Trump will not be playing golf while President.
And that he’d destroy ISIS in thirty days…

SHELL GAME – {rhyme}
Toles’ ‘toon teaches us frighteningly well
that Repugs are hiding the middle-class shell
by trickeries so deft
that we can’t trace their theft
which further enriches the richies pell-mell.

America CAN win by paying attention to who you vote for in 2018. Make Congress Democratic again, and help America move forward.

The problem is we need some good Democrats to make it work!

Voting is like driving; You Choose “R” to go BACKWARDS. You choose “D” to go FORWARDS!

Haven’t the “little people” learned yet? First the rich get all the money. Then everyone is better off or something like that.

The Republican wealth-care plan is like the zombie that refuses to die, no matter how often the still-living try to do so.
